Everything you need to know about renting kit from us. Can't find your answer? Get in touch.
HOW IT WORKS
How does renting work?
Browse our catalogue, choose your kit and dates, and submit a booking request. We'll confirm availability and send over a rental agreement to sign digitally. Once signed and payment is received, your kit is reserved. You can collect from our London location or arrange delivery.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes — an account lets you submit booking requests, sign rental agreements digitally, track your active orders, and download invoices. Registration is free and takes under a minute.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 24–48 hours in advance to guarantee availability, especially for popular items like the Sony FX3, DJI RS4 Pro, and Aputure lights. For same-day pickup, call us first to confirm the kit is available.
Can I extend my rental while the kit is out?
Yes, subject to availability. Contact us as early as possible — if the equipment isn't already booked by another customer we can extend your rental. Additional days are charged at the standard daily rate.
PAYMENT
How much does it cost?
Each product shows its daily rate on our website. For multi-day rentals we offer discounts — contact us for a custom quote on rentals of 3+ days or large kit packages.
When do I pay?
Payment is due before or at the time of collection. We accept bank transfer, card payment, and cash. For larger bookings we may request a deposit upfront.
Is there a security deposit?
A refundable security deposit may be required for high-value items (cameras, cinema lenses, drones). The deposit amount is communicated at the time of booking and is fully refunded upon safe return of the equipment.
Do you offer discounts for longer rentals?
Yes. Rentals of 3–6 days typically receive a 10–15% discount, and week-long rentals receive up to 20% off. Contact us directly for multi-week or commercial production rates.
PICKUP & DELIVERY
Where are you based?
We're based in London. Our exact address is shared upon booking confirmation. Same-day collection is available during business hours (Mon–Sat, 9am–7pm).
Do you offer delivery?
Yes — we offer delivery across London and the surrounding area. Delivery charges depend on location and are calculated at the time of booking. Next-day delivery is available for orders placed before 3pm.
What condition will the kit arrive in?
All equipment is fully tested, cleaned, and charged before every rental. Cameras come with at least one battery and memory card (unless stated otherwise). Lights come with appropriate power cables.
How do I return the kit?
Return to our London location by the agreed end date and time. If you arranged delivery, we'll arrange a collection from the same address. Kit must be returned in the same condition it was collected.
DAMAGE & INSURANCE
What happens if equipment is damaged?
You are responsible for the equipment during the rental period. Accidental damage is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Minor wear is expected and not charged — significant damage will be assessed at cost of repair or replacement. We strongly recommend having your own equipment insurance.
Do I need insurance?
We recommend you hold adequate equipment insurance before renting, especially for high-value items. Many photographers and filmmakers use specialist camera insurance policies. We may ask for proof of insurance for high-value bookings.
What if the equipment stops working during my rental?
Contact us immediately. If a fault is due to a pre-existing issue (not caused by misuse), we will do our best to provide a replacement or alternative. We cannot be held liable for lost shoots or production costs.
What about theft?
You are responsible for keeping the equipment secure during your rental. In the event of theft, you should report it to the police immediately and provide us with the crime reference number. Equipment insurance is strongly advised.
IDENTITY & VERIFICATION
Why do you need ID verification?
ID verification helps us ensure the security of our equipment and comply with our insurance requirements. It is a one-time process done on your first rental.
What ID is accepted?
We accept UK/EU passports, UK driving licences, and national identity cards. Your ID must be valid (not expired) and clearly show your name and photo.
Is my ID data stored securely?
Yes. We treat all personal data with strict confidentiality in compliance with UK GDPR. ID data is used solely for verification purposes and is not shared with third parties.
CANCELLATIONS
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start date incur no charge. Cancellations within 24–48 hours may incur a 25% fee. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows may incur the full rental charge. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.
What if you need to cancel on us?
In the unlikely event we need to cancel (e.g. equipment becomes unavailable due to damage), we will give you as much notice as possible and offer a full refund or suitable alternative kit.
